Die britische Crime Writers Association (CWA) hat in dieser Woche ihre Shortlist für den Duncan Lawrie Dagger 2006 veröffentlicht. Nominiert wurden sechs Kriminalromane, die in diesem Jahr oder im letzten Halbjahr 2005 erschienen sind. Der oder die Gewinner/in, der oder die sich dann über ein Preisgeld von 20.000 £ freuen kann, wird am 29. Juni 2006 bei einer Feier im Waldorf Hilton in London bekannt gegeben. Hier folgt eine bebilderte Liste der nominierten Kriminalromane.

Then George appears on Amy’s doorstep after a long absence and tells her that he is dying of cancer. Soon she discovers that he may be lying about far more than his health.

As she pursues her investigation of the Shand case, Amy realises that there is more to the murder of Leslie than the police ever unearthed, including two long-buried skeletons in woods near the family’s home …
